Ingredients
500g chicken breasts cut into strips
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
½ tsp mint sauce
1 lime
2 cup of gram flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
pinch of red food colouring (optional)
Method:
1. Marinate the chicken with the red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, mint sauce and lime juice.
2. Mix well and set aside. In another bowl to make the batter add the gram flour and spices; salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder. Mix and slowly add water while mixing until it becomes a runny consistency but not too thin. You can add in the red food colouring for that takeaway look. This is optional.
3. Coat the chicken in the batter mixture, make sure to let the excess batter drip off before frying in hot oil.
4. Fry for 6-8 minutes approx.
